Senior Squad Trials 2019
England Korfball will be holding trials for the Senior Squad on Saturday 7 December, 2019 at Trinity Sports Club, Shirley Park, Croydon, CR9 7AT between 11.00 and 16.00. The trials are being held in line with the existing England Korfball selection policy and supercede any previous arrangements that may have been advised to athletes seeking to represent England at senior level. The trials will be run by Rob Williams, Senior Coach with assistance from other international coaches; the composition of the senior squad will be finalised thereafter.

The selection process is invitational. This statement means that only athletes invited to attend a trial can be assessed for selection. Athletes will be invited based on one or more of the following:
- Identification by a coach from the International Subcommittee (ISC)
- England Korfball Level 2 qualified coach has referred an athlete that is playing at the highest level (BUCS, Inter-areas, National League)
In regions with limited opportunities for competition, athletes can be nominated by their club coach for the ISC to review their potential and therefore link in to point 1 above.
Athletes will be invited to a trial, assessment will include criteria, including but not exclusively:-
- Game Awareness
- Mental Toughness
- Technical Skill
- Athletic Ability
- Match Performance
Applications are invited from coaches wishing to nominate athletes to be considered for trials. In the first instance, please forward by email the name, club, gender and date of birth, together with confirmation that they are available for trials to email@example.com by 5.00 p.m on Wednesday, December 4th 2019. This will allow the coaches to consider interest and agree those athletes to be invited to trials.
Invitations to attend trials, together with trial information will be sent out by midnight, Thursday December 5th.
