Steve Jones and Chris West appointed to IKF European Championships

England Korfball League referees Steve Jones and Chris West have been appointed to the IKF European Championships 2021.

Chris has been selected for the IKF European “B” Championship in Poland. Chris was promoted to the IKF referee list after impressing at the England Korfball Grand Finals in 2018 and 2019 as well as at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) student korfball finals in 2019.  

Chris was due to referee at the IKF Europa Shield 2020 until it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The IKF European “B” Championship takes place between 4 – 9 October 2021 in Wroclaw, Poland.

Steve Jones has also been appointed by the International Korfball Federation’s referee committee to the European “A” championships.

Welsh referee Steve Jones, is England Korfball’s most experienced active referee and regularly takes charge of matches in our top league, including consecutive league finals at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Jones has been an IKF Elite referee for a number of years, taking charge of countless European and World Championships finals, most recently leading the World Championship final between The Netherlands and Belgium in 2019.

The IKF European “A” Championship takes place between 25 – 30 October 2021 in Antwerp, Belgium.
