England Korfball is setting up a new Junior Development Subcommittee.

At the Annual General Meeting in 2017, a proposal was put forward to establish a new Junior Development Subcommittee. The proposal was agreed by England Korfball members and we are now ready to recruit to the subcommittee.

The Junior Development Subcommittee will aim to:

  • Harness junior korfball experience from within the korfball community
  • Encourage junior korfball leadership
  • Ensure that individuals, clubs, local Area Associations and the education community have a reliable, well informed and useful source of information and guidance
  • Contribute thinking to club or local Area Association’s development plans
  • Guide people towards potential funding sources
  • Foster interest in additional junior korfball leagues and events

A full outline of the Junior Development Subcommittee’s roles and responsibilities can be found in the Terms of Reference here.

Subcommittee members must be able to demonstrate experience in working with young people, ideally within korfball.

If you’re passionate about engaging more children and young people in korfball, then this could be the perfect opportunity to make a difference to our sport! The Junior Development Subcommittee will form a key part of England Korfball’s strategy moving forward. Input from the subcommittee will help to shape the direction of junior korfball in England.
