Welcome Hannah Winsbury – Our first National Development Officer

England Korfball is pleased to confirm the appointment of Hannah Winsbury as our first National Development Officer.

Hannah’s appointment follows an open recruitment process and consultation with members during the summer.

Hannah who has a BA degree in Sports Development will start on 16 October and will be working from the Sport Structures offices in Birmingham.

The England Korfball Board believe that Hannah as our National Development Officer will be able to drive the sport further forward by working at national level as well as with local areas and clubs to grow participation, raise the profile of the sport and its overall professionalism.

Hannah joins us from Volleyball England and comes with a wealth of experience of developing participation, winning funding and partnership working. Hannah’s latest role at Volleyball England was Business Services Coordinator.

Hannah said: “I am hugely exciting about the prospect of working with England Korfball clubs and members to implement new programmes and drive participation in the sport at all levels.

“I am excited by the prospect of engaging with England Korfball clubs and volunteers and creating and developing participation programmes which demonstrate real value, resilience and sustainability”

Commenting on Hannah’s appointment Ellen Pearce, on behalf of the Board,  said: “This is a hugely exciting time for England Korfball. We are delighted to have in place our very first National Development Officer and look forward very much to her contributions.
