Bec beat hosts TuS Schildgen 20-21 at Europa Shield

Bec Korfball Club (Tooting, London) has two matches at the IKF Europa Shield today (Saturday, 25 January). First up host club, TuS Schildgen, from Germany.

The match was a fantastic advert for the sport, there was very little to separate the teams. Bec went into the half-time break with a one goal advantage (12-13).

In the last minute TuS Schildgen scored two goals to level the scores at 20-20. With less than 20 seconds remaining on the clock Joe Bedford won and converted a penalty to take Bec onto 21. The home club restarted the match but failed to score in the remaining time.
