BUCS Korfball Championships 2014

The Korfball Championships of the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) will this weekend (8-9 March) take place at the University of East Anglia’s Sportspark arena.

Sixteen teams from across the county will compete over two days in an intense competition to find the best university and college team.

Teams earned their place at the ‘final’ after qualifying through the preliminary events at the end of 2013. The first day will see all the pool matches completed as well as the quarter finals all played across four sports hall at UEA’s Sportspark. The semi-finals and final will then take place on Sunday 09 March.

Pool A: UEA, Cardiff, Lancaster, Oxford

Pool B: Nottingham, Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester

Pool C: Southampton, Sheffield Hallam, Leeds, Kent

Pool D: Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, St Andrews

Senior England international coach Dave Buckland will be in attendance on both days with recently appointed England U21 coach Ross Carr-Taylor attending on Sunday scouting for potential players for the upcoming under-21 European championships later this year.
