England beat Chinese Taipei 12-13!

England U19 beat one of the pre-tournament favourites,Chinese Taipei, on the opening day of the World Cup.

Coach Corinne Buckland started the match with Elise Sparks, Eleanor Parker, Emily Cocker, Ayishah Chaudry, Shane Buckland, Zach Catterall, Marcus Tighe and Jacob Dawes.

England were ahead at the half-time break (8-6) and managed to extend their lead during the second half. Chinese Taipei staged a comeback in the closing minutes of the match scoring three unanswered goals – but time ran out! England won 13-12.
