U19 Korfball World Cup 2015

England’s most talented youth players travelled out to the Netherlands today (2nd April) for the U19 Korfball World Cup.

The 20th edition of the tournament starts tomorrow when England U19 will play matches against Brazil, Catalonia and Romania.

On day two England U19 will play against New Zealand, Netherlands and Chinese Taipei.

The third and final day of the Korfball World Cup takes place on Sunday 5th April. The final will take place at 16:45 BST.

Friday 03 April

14:55 vs Romania

Saturday 04 April

09:20 vs New Zealand

12:40 vs Netherlands

16:00 vs Chinese Taipei

England drawn in Pool A

England U19 have been drawn in Pool A alongside world cup holders the Netherlands, Chinese Taipei, Catalonia, Romania, New Zealand and Brazil.

Pool B includes Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, China and a regional area team from the Netherlands.

Captain Lucy Buck and vice captain Catlin Fitzgerald. “It’s a great honour to be Captain and Vice Captain. With a mixture of new and existing players in the squad this year we are looking forward to this tournament putting into practice all the tactics we have worked on in training”
