Registration now open for the Senior Inter Area 2019

Area teams from across the country can now sign up to compete in the England Korfball Senior Inter-Area for 2019.

Application forms and payment information have been sent directly to each area association. Entry forms should be sent to Competitions Secretary by 26 April 2019. If you haven’t received the information pack, please contact us.

This year’s event, hosted by the East Midlands Korfball Association, will take place at the brand new David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham on Saturday 18 May 2019.

What is it?

The inter-area is an annual competition for regional teams. During the competition players put club rivalries aside and represent their region.

Eligibility

Players may only represent an area if they are registered and play for a club that is located within that area. If relevant, British Student Korfball Association, Wales and Scotland will be considered an area.

For Wales and Scotland only players that participate in the Welsh Korfball League and the Scottish Korfball League will be accepted.

Players that are part of the university/home club dual registration arrangements are only eligible to play for the area in which their university plays. However, they may play for their home club area if the competition committee receive written authority from the University club area that they have not been selected for that area. In that event, the player must have played at least one match for the home club in the current season.

Students who are registered to a club, which plays in a league, may only play for BSKA if the competition committee receive written authority from the area of the student’s club that they have not been selected for that area.
