Kent U11 and U16 win GOLD at the 2015 Inter-Area

The inter area competition for under-11 and under-16 teams took place today (Sunday 25 January 2015) at Harrow Leisure Centre, Middlesex.

The tournaments were hosted by London Korfball and Harrow Korfball Club.

Nine teams from six Area Associations entered the under-11 competition; Cambridgeshire, Kent, London, Norfolk, North West London, South Midlands.

Kent 1 U11 were undefeated throughout the tournament winning all six matches. Kent U11 won the final match against Norfolk 3-2.

Norfolk won the silver medal and London the bronze.

In the under-16 event five area associations entered a total of six teams; Cambridgeshire, Kent, London, Norfolk, South Midlands.

Once again it was the team from Kent that won gold, finishing with a maximum 10 points and scoring almost 50% more goals than the team in second place.

Both Norfolk U16 and London U16 finished the day on 7 points, but it was team Norfolk that won the silver medal thanks to their superior goal difference.
