U19 Korfball World Cup: Squad Announcement
England U19 coaches Davesh Patel and Tony Woodvine have selected a squad of 14 players for the Korfball World Cup (24-27 March 2016).
The squad will be travelling out to Leeuwarden, The Netherlands on Thursday. 24 March.
Norwich Knight’s Frank Dunn will be making his debut in an England shirt at the tournament.
Along with Dunn there are four other players who will also be making their debuts at Under-19 level; Eva Gibbins, Laura Morris, Billy Ashby and Luke Coyte-McKenzie.
England have been drawn in Pool C along with Germany, Morocco and Hong Kong China.
There are 16 teams competing from four continents. Dominican Republic and Hong Kong China are taking part in the World Cup for the first time.
England coach Davesh Patel said: “With new faces come new challenges which we’re all really looking forward to. Drawn in a favourable group the players have been putting in the hard work and will be striving to maintain England U19s standings over recent years.”
