Korfball arrives at Anglua Ruskin University – Cambridge

England Korfball are pleased to confirm that students at the Cambridge campus of Anglua Ruskin University will this year get an opportunity to play Korfball on a regular basis for the first time.

Korfball training sessions will take place on Thursday evenings at the Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre (CB1 1NA).

Isabel Rowe, a sports scholar at ARU said “The plan this year is to expand the reach of Korfball within University life and introduce a highly inclusive sport to another institution.

“We aim to qualify for 2nd team BUCS but know that such a great depth of talent in our region will be difficult to compete with and will be happy just making a mark in our first year.”

Isabel’s korfball career started over 8 years ago at Norwich City and has also spent two years with Sheffield Hallam. Rowe who is a qualified Level 2 coach is also a qualified korfball referee.

Are you studying at ARU? Interested in meeting new people and trying a new sport? If yes, make sure you go along and try Korfball!
