England International joins Highbury

Highbury Korfball Club have recently completed the signing of England senior International Jo-Anne Wilson from Premier division club Bec Korfball Club.

Speaking about the transfer Highbury Korfball Club’s first team coach Steph Allen said “I am delighted to welcome Jo-Anne to an already very exciting squad for the forthcoming season.

“She will bring a wealth of international experience to the squad and with her dynamic play will add to the style Highbury are pushing for this season.”

Wilson, 20, has transferred to North London club Highbury while studying for her degree at University College London.

“Really looking forward to a new challenge at Highbury, hopefully we can aim for a top spot in the league this year. Obviously will miss Bec and playing in the National league but when I’ve finished my studies I will be back!”

Highbury Korfball Club’s first team compete in the England Korfball Promotion (South & East) Division.
