Finals 2022 – Frequently Asked Questions

Do not miss out on the first chance in three years to experience a full on korfball atmosphere. The best teams in the country vie for the promotion and to be crowned national champions. We are back, but there is limited space! Do not miss out on the opportunity to see the crescendo of the 2021/22 season.

We are so excited to be back. Come and join us, celebrate korfball being back in public. Support us as we head back to normal. Experience the thrill of being back in a raucous korfball hall, watch the best players in the country, be inspired, be part of our journey back.

Tickets

Tickets for the England Korfball Finals 2022 at Sportspark are now available. Click here to purchase your tickets! 

When you enter the venue you’ll need to show your ticket(s) to our team just after the turnstiles. You will be issued with a paper wristband which you must wear at all times. The wristband will allow you to gain access to the main arena and the seating area.

Early Bird Offer

Get your ticket during the early-bird sale and save 25% on the full price. The early bird offer runs until Saturday 30 April 2022. During the early-bird tickets start at just £7.50*. There are limited tickets available, so be quick and buy your tickets as soon as you can!

Selecting Your Seat

You can choose to sit in one of three blocks, left, centre and right. You can sit anywhere in your chosen block. There is no allocated seating at Sportspark, so arrive early to grab a great seat. 

Group Discount

Our ticket prices are fantastic already. We are unable to provide any additional discounts.

Children’s Tickets

Children under 2 do not need a ticket but they must sit on the lap of their responsible adult. We recommend that infants are not brought to the event as there will be loud music..

Concessions

Please contact us if you would like a complimentary ticket for your carer. 

Children (over the age of 2), Students, Senior citizens will all need to purchase a ticket.

Schedule

The first match at the Finals will be the Premier Division 3rd/4th playoff match starting at 11:30am. 

This will be followed by the Promotional Final at 1:45pm with the winning team winning promotion to the top league in the country. 

The last match of the day will decide who will be crowned champions of England. The Premier Division final will start at 4pm. 

11:30 – Premier Division Playoff
13:45 – Promotional Final
16:00 – Premier Division Final

What time do the doors open?

Doors open at 10:30am on Sunday 22nd May 2022.

By Bike

Sportspark has 62 bike racks outside the entrance for customer use.

By Car

UEA is situated on the outskirts of Norwich, around two and a half miles west of the city centre, just off the Earlham Road (B1108) which is one of the main roads out of the city. The postcode for satnavs is NR4 7TJ

By Bus

Buses run regularly from nearby Castle Meadow and St Stephen’s Street in the city centre to the University campus. Bus routes 22, 25 and 26 run from the centre of Norwich to the Sportspark.

By Train

Norwich is less than two hours from London by train and there is an InterCity link with the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland via Peterborough. Trains run from London Liverpool Street approximately every 30mins.

The easiest way to reach UEA from the station is by taxi which takes approximately 15 minutes. There are regular buses direct to the University from just outside the station on nearby Thorpe Road, and a bus runs straight from the bus station to the University.

By Air

Norwich Airport has regular flights to and from Aberdeen, Bristol, Exeter, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Manchester and Paris, and international connections to 200 cities worldwide through regular direct flights to and from Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. The easiest way to reach UEA from the airport is by taxi.

Car Parking

Sportspark car park is located on the left hand side as you enter University Drive from Earlham Road. Blue badge spaces are available.

Parking is free for up to 4 hours. There is a charge of £5 for every hour or part thereof, once the 4 hour free period has been exceeded.

All car park users are required to take a ticket from the barrier on arrival and will need to validate this ticket at Sportspark reception either on arrival or at the time of departure.

Coach Parking

There is a limited amount of spaces for minibuses in the Sportspark and main University car parks. If you are planning to arrive in a minibus you should contact sportspark@uea.ac.uk in advance. 

There is no coach parking available onsite. Coaches are able to drop off outside Sportspark.

General

Accessibility

Sportspark is fully accessible. You’ll find clear signage for building facilities in our reception area and directional signage at key points. There is lift access past the main foyer to each level of the building.

Can we bring our own food and drinks to the event?

Yes, snacks and packed lunches can be brought into the venue. All drinks should have a lid.  Alcohol is prohibited and should not be consumed anywhere in the venue.

The Sportscafe is located on the ground floor and is very popular serving both hot and cold food and drinks.

Security Searches

For the safety of spectators, event stewards may conduct security searches of bags and reserve the right to refuse admission.

Media

Media accreditation

Press and Photographers are invited to attend the Korfball Finals.. Applications should be sent via email to Dean Woods, England Korfball Marketing and Communications Officer by Monday 16 May 2022. Please state whether you are applying for Press or Photographer Accreditation.

Photography and filming

Buying a ticket affirms your consent to the filming and sound recording of yourself as a member of the audience. If you have any objection, should this happen when you attend please contact a member of the Venue Management. No camera, video camera, sound recording equipment or other photographic apparatus may be brought into the venue without advance written permission from England Korfball.
