Dean Woods

Event Team Lead

We are looking to build a team to help deliver our priorities. We’re seeking someone that shares our passion and can continue and build on the excellent events delivered in recent years..

England Korfball Events team lead (Volunteer)

What do we want to do?

England Korfball has a fantastic recent history of the delivering showcase events of our sport. These events have culminated in 2018 and 2019 as two-day end of season ‘Grand Finals’ spectaculars at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

We brought top class korfball, live to 2500 spectators and streamed it on the BBC red button to thousands of fans. With audio visual effects, big screens, live comperes, music and the best korfball in the country, we shifted the dial on expectations for the England Korfball community. 2022 will be a smaller scale event which will serve as a great springboard to bigger events we want to plan in future years.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone to lead the delivery of Korfball events. We need someone with event delivery experience who wants to learn about how England Korfball wants to deliver its sport to a wider audience. We need a person who can understand and shape our strategy, our ambitions and work towards leading on events which deliver on these.

Excited and want to know more?

There’s more information about the role here. For an informal discussion please contact England Korfball Board member David Synott
