Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Update
At England Korfball (EK), we will shortly be developing an equality & diversity strategy as part of our new overall organisational strategy. There are two pieces of work which we are due to deliver to enable us to ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our plans.
The first is the completion of an EDI survey by as many members as possible to help us find out who we are. EK wishes to understand the demographics of the people who are currently participating in the sport, for example how they describe themselves, where they live, and the relationship they may or may not have with EK. The more information we have on the people who participate, the easier it is for us to develop and deliver the most appropriate resources and opportunities needed to support them.
The survey will be going live on Monday 27th February at 3pm and we would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to complete it. All questionnaires that include the name of the person completing them will be entered into a free draw to win 2 complimentary tickets to the Grand Finals in May. This should only take 10-15 minutes of your time and EK greatly appreciates your assistance in doing this. We can reassure you that any information will be held securely and never be available to third parties. We will send around the survey link on the 27th.
The second piece of work is the review of our current Transgender policy and the development of non-binary guidance which will form part of the new Transgender and Non Binary policy. We would like to invite you to a forum for a discussion on the proposed changes on either Monday 20th February or Tuesday 21st February at 7pm.
