England travel to Czech Republic for training weekend

The England senior squad’s preparations for the upcoming IKF World Championships continue this weekend (26-27 September) when the squad fly out to the Czech Republic for a two day intensive training camp.

 

The IKF Korfball World Championship takes place in Belgium between 30 October and 08 November 2015. The semi finals and finals will be played in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium.

 

England have been drawn in a pool with Portugal, China and South Africa.

 

16 countries have qualified for this year’s World Championship: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Catalonia, China, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Hungary, Hong Kong, South Africa, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Russia.

 

England finished in 5th place at the last IKF World Korfball Championship which was held in China in 2011 beating Russia 22-29.
