England Regional Academy Pathway Coaches
Our new Performance Strategy sets out our vision to inspire the next generation of players by consistently turning player potential into success at senior international level.
Our mission is to develop holistic players and coaches capable of excelling at International Level.
We are now seeking to build an England Regional Academy programme. We are in the search for coaches that wish to become part of the England Regional Pathway Coaching team.
We aim to implement a Regional Academy programme in 2022/23 targeted to support U18 players. The programme will consist of development and playing opportunities alongside coach development opportunities.
The Regional Academy Programme will require a cultural and mindset shift in how we develop players. A move from, a focus upon competition, to player and coach development aided by competition. It will challenge our thinking, current beliefs, and culture.
The Regional Academy will form the solid foundation for the England Player Development Pathway. It will focus upon providing inclusive, quality assured player development environments that are built upon a player centred performance and a learning culture. Are you able to help lead this change?
Critical to the Regional Academy will be the development of player development coaches. All England Pathway coaches will be supported to establish their own learning and development journey to improve as coaches. This will be a key priority for investment in the Regional Academy. All coaches involved in the Regional Academy will have unique access to Coach Developer support and a coaching development programme based upon their needs.
Over the coming years we aim to expand the Regional Academy and will seek to evolve the programme to ensure more players and coaches from across England have access.
Initially, we are seeking a minimum of 4 coaches to join the England Academy Coaching Team.
The role will work with the England Academy Lead Coach and other coaches in the England Academy Coaching Team to deliver inclusive and player centred coaching environments aligned to the England Player Development Model and values of England Korfball.
The key competencies and qualifications required are:
- Minimum Level 2 or equivalent Certificate in Coaching Korfbal
- Member of England Korfball.
- An enhanced DBS check.
- Active coaching role within korfball or any performance sport related field
