England qualify for 2015 World Championships

England have qualified for next years World Championships thanks to their excellent performance at the European Championships in Portugal.

The 2014 European Championships which are still underway in Portugal also serve as the European qualifier for the 2015 World Championships. The top ten teams from the Europeans will qualify for the World Championships.

Speaking about the qualification, England Korfball’s Chairman Craig Gosling said “Excellent performance by our senior players, management and coaching staff to finish in the 2nd in the pool group and qualify the World Championship in Belgium, this further cements our position as a top Korfball nation”

The 10th edition of the Korfball World Championships will take place in the Belgian cities of Ghent, Herentals and Antwerp between Friday 30 October and Sunday 08 November 2015.
