England Korfball League referees Paul Jeanes and Steve Jones have been appointed to the final of the European Championship later today (Sunday 02 November) between The Netherlands and Belgium.

The main referee for the final will be Lukas Filip (CZE) with assistant referee Maciej Goławski (POL). Both Jeanes and Jones have been appointed as reserve referee.

As with all championship finals, the coaching staff, team officials and substitutes will be passionate – it is up to the reserve referee to keep the team benches under control. The reserve referee will also assist the Jury with substitutions.

However, before the final both English Korfball League referees will officiate in the match between Hungary/Poland for 7th/8th place. Jones will take charge of the match with Jeanes acting as the assistant.

The final between The Netherlands and Belgium starts at 17:00 GMT. You can follow the match through live text updates and video on the IKF’s WorldKorfball.org website. The match will also be broadcast live on the IKF’s YouTube channel.
