England International Youth Trials

England Korfball are looking for enthusiastic and talented youngsters to develop their korfball skills, increase their enjoyment of korfball and to widen the pool of international youth players in the upcoming international training squads.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young, keen and committed players around the country to attend open trials, to meet the friendly, welcoming and dedicated England youth training coaching staff and start a journey towards representing their country at korfball.

England youth squads training take place twice a month from September to April as they prepare for excellent high level competition. This includes the prestigious KNKV ‘Challenge tournament’ in Rotterdam, the World Cups at U16 and U19 age groups as well as long running training test series in Belgium and Germany.

England Korfball prides itself on its core values and pushes forwards the value of inclusivity to offer these trials to all players who feel that they can become an international player.

The trials will take place on Saturday 17th May 2014 at Whitgift School, Nottingham Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR2 6YT.

Trials are conducted in a friendly and supportive way and your sport needs the players from your area to be involved at higher levels to provide that local interest and aspiration to other young players. Something which can help your area grow.

The trial will only be one part of the selection process and certain coaches will also be at the National Youth Day (29 June 2014) and Kent inter area (05 July 2014) watching and talking to players.

Please note there is no automatic re-selection if you are involved in the current youth training squads.

The current age limits for the youth program is born after 1st September 2002 (Current Year 6) and still 19 on 31st December 2015
