Review of Competitions Structure 2020-2023

The England Korfball Competitions Sub-Committee (CSC) undertakes a review of the Competitions Structure within England using a three year cycle. The document shows the result of the latest review that should come into effect from the 2020-2021 season.

The CSC has looked at the composition of the Regional Leagues and, in line with the original concept of looking at playing numbers within each region, is suggesting the first major review of Regional Leagues since their inception over 10 years ago.

The paper also shows the outcome of discussions concerning other matters that have been raised not only by participating clubs and leagues but also answering some concerns that the CSC has had over the past few years.

All Clubs and Areas are asked to look at and discuss the document and, if you feel it appropriate in your specific case, give feedback or make comments so that the plan, with any necessary changes following this consultation, can come into effect before the start of the 2019-20 season.

Any changes will take place from September 2020 but clubs need to know how the revised structure will work before participating in the 2019-20 season.

The deadline for submissions will be 15 July 2019. Please send submissions to the secretary of the CSC, Sally More – with a copy to the England Korfball office.
