England U23 coach Rob Williams has named Ashley Warner as the new England U23 captain.
Warner, 20, said “To be named as the captain of the England U23 squad is an enormous honour and I am looking forward to the task ahead. The core of the squad has played together for a number of years and it’s good to see some new faces too.
“Training is going well with both Rob and Joe bringing fresh new ideas to our game play.
“Bring on the World Championships!”
The IKF Under 23 World Korfball Championships will take place between 09-16 July in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
England U23 have been drawn in Group A along with Chinese Taipei, Germany, Hong Kong China, Poland and Dominican Republic.
The squad fly out to the Czech Republic on Thursday, 07 July with their opening match just two days later against Poland on Saturday 09 July 2016.
