Another successful Level 1 coaching course – London

The latest Level 1 Coaching Award took place in South London on Saturday 8th November 2014. The course was fully booked. The six hour course was led by Dave Butters, head coach of Surrey’s premier Korfball League side, Nomads Korfball Club.

Speaking about the coaching award Dave Butters said: “Another 20 coaches successfully put through the England Korfball L1 course, including a number of school teachers. The course was fully booked with coaches representing a number of London clubs.

“The course went very well, with an enthusiastic group who worked hard and have new skills to take back to their clubs”

England Korfball is committed to increase the number of coaches that have the necessary skills and experience to be able to inspire thousands of new players to play our sport.

The England Korfball Level 1 coaching award enables coaches to introduce korfball to beginners. It’s the first stage on the korfball coaching pathway.

We have two Level 1 coaching awards already booked for 2015, the first in Norwich (February) and Birmingham (March). We’re also looking to hold another course in London – further details will be announced shortly!
