England senior international completes transfer to Nottingham

Alexandra Derham has completed her transfer from England Korfball League side Tornadoes to Nottingham Korfball Club.

Derham, 19, scored 30 goals for Tornadoes in the England Korfball League last season and 5 goals for England on her debut at the recent European Championships, including the golden goal extra-time winner against Czech Republic.

Derham said: “I’ve played for Tornadoes for 10 years, and played for the First team for the last 6 years. This is my first club transfer.

“I’m excited about joining Nottingham as it’s a club from a completely different area, offering a set of different challenges to overcome as I’ll be playing with a new team and against opponents I haven’t come across before. I’m eager to see what the season has in store!”

Having come through the ranks at Tornadoes Korfball Club and Academy, Derham has now enrolled at Loughborough University.

Nottingham Korfball Club compete in one of the two Promotional Divisions, the second tier of the England Korfball League.

Derham is expected to make her debut for Nottingham on Sunday (16 November) against Sheffield Hallam.
