Over the past few months, we have reviewed the England Korfball DBS check process and are pleased to share a new guide explaining how to apply for an England Korfball DBS check.

Rather than emailing a request and waiting for it to be processed, you can now start a DBS check through the England Korfball Sport:80 platform, our new membership portal. More information and guides about Sport:80 will be shared in due course. You will then complete the more detailed personal information on the KnowYourPeople platform, which carries out the DBS check. Once completed, your DBS status will appear in your membership portal, which will also remind you when it is due for renewal every three years.

We have also introduced Digital ID verification through the KnowYourPeople platform, allowing you to verify your documents online using a laptop or device with a camera. This should make the verification and checking process quicker for everyone. As with the Post Office verification service, there is a small cost for using this option.

If you were a registered player for the 2025/26 season, you should already have a Sport:80 account. To access it, click “Reset password” on the Sport:80 login screen.
