England Korfball is delighted to confirm the appointment of the new Chair, Marvin Robinson. The appointment of Marvin is the result of an extensive recruitment process following the retirement of Ellen Pearce in 2023.Marvin spent over 15 years as a professional footballer (in both the Premier League & EFL).

Following his retirement from football Marvin founded, grew, and then successfully exited two high growth start-up businesses, was Chief Executive of a charitable Foundation and has spent approximately 10 years performing a range of private sector consulting assignments across a range of sectors.

Marvin also fulfils a number of non-executive roles within elite sport including as an FA Councillor, UEFA Delegate, Premier League Delegate, Arbitrator for Sport Resolutions and also Chair of the English Schools’ Football Association.

He was named, both in 2017 and 2020, as one of the most influential black people in football.

I am sure that with his skills and experiences he will add real value to England Korfball, and will really drive the organisation forward to maximise the opportunities which exist both domestically and internationally.
Marvin’s initial focus will be on developing a new strategy, and we will announce shortly the plan for engaging with the Korfball community so everyone can have a real and meaningful input into this new strategy.”
