Essex Blades nominated for Club of the Year
Essex Blades Korfball Club have been nominated by the University of Essex Students Union and Sports Federation for the Club of the Year award.
Helen Gilmore, President of Essex Blades Korfball Club said: “we’ve been nominated for club of the year, which is the award for the club who provides the best service to their members as well as overall organisation and improvement”
“Even a nomination is an amazing achievement for us because we’ve only been together since October and there are some great clubs at Essex! The awards are in May so we’ve got our fingers crossed!”
“I’m just really proud of how far our club has come over this year, and all the hard work our committee and members put in to make our club the best it can be. A nomination for club of the year is amazing, and I’m really happy that korfball is starting to grow in Essex”
Michaela Warnes, a first year member at Essex Blades Korfball Club said “korfball is the best sport ever, you meet great people, improve your fitness and learn new skills. It may not be one of the most well known sports on campus but I know I’m proud to be a member of Essex Blades Korfball Club”
Congratulations to everyone at Essex Blades Korfball Club for their nomination and good luck at the Sport Awards ceremony in May.
