Europa Shield 2016

The IKF Europa Shield takes place in Castrop Rauxel, Germany between 22-24 January 2016. Bec Korfball Club (Tooting, London) will represent England Korfball at the event where they will be looking to repeat their performances from last year when the team won Gold.

Bec KC have been drawn in pool B along with Club Korfbal Castellbisbal (Catalonia), 1908 SZAC Budapest (Hungary) and TuS Schildgen (Germany).

Bec are in excellent form going into the Europa Shield with a 100% win record in the England Korfball League.

The first opponent for coach Dave Buckland and Bec is German side TuS Schidgen at 18:40 GMT on Friday, 22 January.

Saturday will be a tough test with two matches; 1908 SZAC Budapest (10:55) followed by Club Korfbal Castellbisbal at 14:00 GMT.

Cross-over playoffs and the medal placing matches will take place on Sunday.
