EKL Referee Jones appointed to 2022 World Games in United States

England Korfball League referee Steve Jones has been appointed to officiate at the 11th World Games being held in Birmingham, Alabama from 13th-17th July.  The matches will be available on the International Korfball Federation’s (IKF) YouTube channel.

Steve has previously officiated at the 2013 World Games in Cali Colombia as well as taking charge of the last IKF European ‘A’ Championship Final in 2021 in Belgium and the last IKF World Championship Final in 2019 in South Africa.

Steve is being supported by Paul Jeanes, another EKL referee and former IKF referee, in his role as an IKF Referee Assessor at the tournament.  Paul is able to use his extensive experience of refereeing domestically and internationally to support the IKF referee team throughout the tournament. They are joined by Dean Woods who is attending the event as an IKF Communication Officer.
