SUMMARY:1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Korfball
DESCRIPTION:This is the nationally recognised qualification for club coaches and is run in conjunction with Sport Structures.  \nIt requires the completion of two additional tasks after the week’s course: 4 linked sessions delivered at your club followed by a final assessment\, either delivered locally or at next year’s course. When completed you will be qualified to coach independently. \nThis course is an intensive week of high-level skills training\, and teaching of coaching techniques. It will start with the delivery of the England Korfball Level 1 course to ensure everyone has the necessary basic skills followed by 3 days of korfball tactics and game play and 2 days of practical assessments.  \nOn top of the standard course there will be sessions on child protection\, match coaching and rules\, with the opportunity to sit the referee’s exam. There is also time to follow up with the participants’ specific needs. It is recommended that participants gain some coaching experience at their club before attending.  \nCost is £685 per person. There are grants of up to £200 available to help with the cost. Those who camp rather than having a bed in the Centre will have a further reduction of £100. Please note that a £100 deposit is required to reserve a place on this course.
